Welcome to Catalyst PT!
If you're reading this, welcome.
Whether you're dealing with an injury, navigating pelvic floor symptoms, or struggling with pain that just doesn't seem to make sense, I'm glad you're here.
My name is Hannah Carey, Doctor of Physical Therapy and founder of Catalyst Physical Therapy.
I created Catalyst because I believe healing starts with being heard.
Over the years, I've worked with countless people who felt frustrated, dismissed, or stuck. Many had seen multiple providers. Some had been given conflicting explanations. Others had started to wonder if their symptoms were simply something they would have to live with.
What I learned is that people aren't just looking for exercises or treatments.
They're looking for answers.
They're looking for understanding.
They're looking for someone who will take the time to listen to their story and help them make sense of what they're experiencing.
That's the foundation of Catalyst Physical Therapy.
My goal isn't simply to treat symptoms.
It's to help people better understand their bodies, rebuild confidence in movement, and return to the activities that make them feel like themselves again.
Because pain doesn't just affect a shoulder, a back, or a pelvic floor.
It affects your ability to run the trails, pick up your children, train for a race, enjoy a ski trip, sleep well, manage stress, and participate fully in your life.
At Catalyst, thoughtful time is taken to understand the whole picture so we can create a path forward that feels clear, realistic, and personalized to you.
What Catalyst Means
The name Catalyst was chosen intentionally.
A catalyst creates change.
Not by forcing it, but by helping a process move forward.
I see physical therapy in much the same way.
My role is not to "fix" people.
My role is to help create the conditions for meaningful change by providing guidance, education, support, and a clear understanding of what's contributing to your symptoms.
When people understand their bodies, feel empowered in their recovery, and have a plan that aligns with their goals, change becomes possible.
Whether that means returning to trail running, recovering after childbirth, lifting with confidence, or simply moving through daily life with less pain, the goal is the same:
Helping you reconnect with your body and return to the activities that make you feel most alive.
